Over one billion people still live without power, mainly in small rural communities in the developing world, with predictable consequences for health, education, wealth and ability to engage in wider society. Smart Village Kakakni will generate opportunities and a demand for further innovations (for instance; communication, remote education, health care) as an entrepreneurship.
Smart Village Kakani has a central tenet that will provide an open platform for the free exchange of ideas and resources. Often, members of the head office (KTM) will collaborate on projects and share knowledge at this MAKERSPACE as gatherings for innovation, modernization and expansion of the scope of smart village model in Kakani village.
This project aims to identify the most promising technological innovations for effective and affordable solutions at the village level, to understand how local entrepreneurship can serve to deliver these solutions to accomplish societal change in the community including the programs such as women empowerment, Early Childhood Development, Transition to Adulthood & Independent living programs, health care, job placement and social awareness that enhance improvement of society.
We envisage that as a result, there will be a huge increase in awareness of the options by liaising with the government body of local level and INGO for using entrepreneurship and technological innovation to lift the villages out of poverty and isolation, and that they will consequently be able to take self-sustaining measures of implementation.
